Faith & Work

Integrating our faith with our daily lives

How we view our work when we wake up Monday morning has tremendous influence on how we experience our work. Is work really a necessary evil? Do we work just to pay the bills? Should our work be the major source of our identity and security as it is for so many?Is it possible that God has a far greater purpose and plan for work?

If God’s purpose for your job is that you serve the human community, then the way to serve God best is to do the job as well as it can be done ― Timothy Keller, Every Good Endeavor

Business as Mission

Extending the Kingdom of God in and through business

I believe the next great move of God is going to be through the believers in the workplace. – Billy Graham

Business as Mission, also referred to as Business for Transformation or Kingdom Business is a movement of Christ-followers in the marketplace who want to use their vocational experience and expertise to conduct business and impact the world for Christ. They are breaking down the sacred/secular divide and viewing business as their mission field.

Kingdom business rests on notions that God cares about people’s spiritual, social, and economic transformation, that the work in the business world is both a ministry and a calling, that profit is both necessary and a sign of useful service, and that poverty is a social disease to be addressed. – Ken Eldred, God is at Work
